Something to celebrate!

Wow, I have done such a terrible job posting lately! I think I still haven't gotten back in the groove after the holidays. It's hard to believe that it is already the middle of January!

Well, Kev and I had much to celebrate last weekend. On Friday, I turned 28 then on Sunday we celebrated our 6 year anniversary! That's a lot to celebrate in one weekend. We started our weekend of fun by going to a matinee of Avator in 3D. This is a splurge for us because we NEVER go to the "big" movie theater as I call it. We're pretty much cheap skates in watching movies, so we will go to the dollar theater. It's pretty amazing how much more comfortable the seats are at the big theater! I enjoy going to the theater to watch movies but it makes Kev absolutely giddy. It truly makes me excited because he is so excited. As a side note, ever since then, he keeps mentioning wanting to go back to watch another movie...we may be creating a very expensive addiction here. After our movie, we went to a bed and breakfast in Edmond for the night, which was so much fun. Even though we weren't far from home, it was nice to get away. We had dinner at a fun new restaurant which was delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend!

I must say, I am married to the best man in the whole world! I can't believe it has already been six years...it has definitely been six wonderful years. Someone told me I should post pictures from our wedding day. Great idea except we have no digital pics...this makes me very sad. So instead, I thought I would show you a few pictures of before we were married when were dating.

So sweet!

Hiking in France.

Paella in Spain...so delicious.

Fun in Cinque Terre, Italy. The very disturbing thing about this picture is it reminded me how old my tshirt is, which of course I still wear.

The night we got engaged. I absolutely love this picture because you can see the pure joy and excitement in our eyes. Promises made of lives spent together.

Engaged and back in the states!

How we've changed and yet remained the same. I can't wait to see what the next six year holds!

Nebraska cold

So, I must say, cold weather and I do not agree. We went to Nebraska this past weekend to visit my grandparents, and they were having record cold weather. Let me tell you, record cold weather for Nebraska is pretty darn cold. The high the whole time we were there was 4 degrees...that's right, 4 degrees. The low was -9 degrees. Not to mention they have already gotten 27 inches of snow this year, and it snowed 4 or 5 inches while we were there.

Let me tell you, there is not much you want to do when it's that cold except stay inside. Our poor Camry had serious issues dealing with the cold. There was literally constantly ice on the inside of our windows...it never could warm enough to melt it so it was like driving around in a little cocoon. Maybe I'm being a little dramatic but it was cold...have I mentioned it was cold? It was great to see family and we made it back alive, so I figure the trip was a success.

I do need some help. I realized yesterday I actually somehow started following my own blog. Not really sure how it happened or how to do anything about it, but any advice would be much appreciated. I feel silly seeing our picture under followers.
