4 Months Old

My baby is 4 months old today...how is that possible?  It feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital.  Although I love seeing her grow and develop, my mommy heart grieves the loss of each stage.  I've realized that I am a baby person.  I absolutely ADORE my babies' first year of life.  The innocence, pure sweetness...I just can't get enough.
This past month has been a glorious month for Campbell Mae.  She started sleeping through the night right around 3 months (conveniently when I had to go back to work).  Nothing like feeling refreshed after a full nights rest.  Nothing.  I actually usually wake her up at 7:30 to feed her.
She also started napping better in between feedings, like 1-2 hours in between each feeding.  She still has been nursing every 3 hours with her last feeding around 10.
When she sticks to her schedule, she is the happiest, laid back, good natured baby.  She rarely cries, and when she does, I usually know exactly what's wrong (she is usually tired).  She still loves her bouncer (a little less), and absolutely LOVES sitting in the bumbo.  I think she likes seeing what's going on around her.  When I lay her on her back, she always strains to sit.  She doesn't mind her car seat.
She is a smily girl, but at times can be a little stingy with her smiles.  She smiles at me often which is all I really care about. :) I am determined to make her ticklish...she's slowly warming up to the idea.  She is learning to laugh but still hasn't given me a full-out belly laugh.  It's coming...I'm sure of it.
She is wearing 3-6 month or 6 months clothes and fits comfortably in 9 month pants.  The girl has a serious belly.  And chunky thighs.  Oh does she have chunky thighs.  We're still squeezing her in size 2 diapers (mainly because I bought too many), but I'm sure we'll move on to 3s soon.
She is always clasping her hands together and recently started sucking on her bottom lip.  I also find her occasionally sucking her thumb which I think is stinking adorable but I'm always torn on whether or not to replace her thumb with her paci.

When we had two kids, I seriously could not imagine life with a third.  How would she fit?  Would I have enough to give to another child?  And yet, she has made my heart overflow with more love than I thought possible.  Can't imagine life without my sweet girl.

I bought some swim suits this week the kids and it made me realize two things: 1. It will be awesome when it's warm enough to wear these things and 2. My little girl isn't so little anymore. She is looking so grown up these days. She picked this suit out of two options I gave her and was very pleased with her choice.
Oh my...I just love her little wrist rolls and knuckle dimples. She is a rolly little girl but so so cute!
I captured this sweet moment with the kids this week. Mason insisted he sit on E's lap while she read him a book. It's these moments I want imprinted on my brain...not the bickering, exhausting moments. These are such precious moments amongst many tiring, "I want to scream" moments.

Have I mentioned this girl is obsessed with Frozen?  Obsessed!  Let It Go anyone?  She basically sings it all the time as loud as she can.  Grandma and Grandpa bought her an Anna dress when they were visiting.  Such a great gift!
Mason loved spending quality time with Grandpa.
Just snuggling with Grandma!

 The lips...love sleeping baby lips!
She loves hanging upside down, jumping, climbing, and anything that feels a little dangerous.  My little adrenaline junky.  Didn't get it from me.
Sweet smiling boy.  He's such a little lover.  He's always giving me hugs and saying "I love you mama!"

Oh my sweet girls.  How I love them!  Elliott LOVES her baby sister and showers her with affection constantly.  Although it can be exhausting to constantly be monitoring touches, she is so sweet to her.
This face is so Campbell...the furrowed eyebrows.  So concerned about so much. :)
A baby holding a baby...at least that's how it feels.  He loves his sister but is not nearly as interested in her activities.  He does love to rub her head and give her hugs (which are basically him completely trying to lay on her head).  Sweet but rough. :)

Tummy time for Campbell is a family affair these days.  When she is laid down, she rarely has moments to herself.  Life as a third kid I guess.
 Seriously...could she get any cuter!!
Again, resourceful use of the stroller.  Daddy was brave and took both kids to campus so he and Mason could get their hair cut.  Elliott is NOT a fan of getting her hair cut, or fixed for that matter.  Funny girl!

As I mentioned in my last post, we spent 2 weeks in Texas/Oklahoma visiting family.  I was really nervous about the trip with 3 kids, but I have to say it was our best trip home thus far.  I feel encouraged that as the kids get older, it gets a little easier each time.  The big thing for me is SLEEP...or lack of sleep.  Isn't that what it always boils down to?  I'm thankful all 3 sleeps slept decently!  There were so many (iphone) pics to choose from but these were 3 of my favorites.

I SO love bath pictures.  Maybe I'm weird.
Improvising at it's best.  Life with lots of kids the same age. :)
The two newest girls.  It was so wonderful to meet my newest niece.  Love her!
